Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Job Objective: The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering department in supporting production activities for complex wiring harnesses and electromechanical assemblies. This role drives process improvements, ensures high-quality standards (AS9100), reduces costs, and supports on-time delivery for aerospace/defense customers.

Job Duties:
- Provide functional management, technical direction, and mentorship to manufacturing engineers.
- Ensure all harness manufacturing processes comply with AS9100, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, and NASA-STD-8739 standards.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed work instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and routings for assembly, crimping, and soldering operations.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), translate customer drawings/schematics into production-ready instructions, and troubleshoot assembly issues on the floor.
- Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Manage the utilization of automated harness testers (e.g., CIRRIS, CABLE-EYE) and production tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering within the aerospace/defense cable harness industry, including 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- In-depth knowledge of IPC-A-620 and J-STD-001 standards, wire harness assembly, crimping, and soldering techniques.
- Strong Communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies.

Quality Manager
Job Objective: Effectively direct and coordinate the activities of the quality department to sustain production levels necessary to meet customer requirements.
Reports To:
General Manager
Job Duties:
- Support Technical Data Package (TDP) development both internal and external
- Review provided documentation identifying, document issues, component issues and resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Review and verify technical data (IE., cable block diagrams, drawings, equipment drawings, change descriptions)
- Review and approve in house documentation for production support
- Generate internal drawings and work instructions
- Maintain databases and tooling requirements
- Assist in the execution of technical and programmatic interactions/meetings with customers, documentation for delivery, and support customer action items, schedules and audits.
- Responsible for developing, maintaining, and adjusting requirements for all equipment used in production related machinery.
- Establish, set up and run various production support lines
- Areas of support will include direct support of automated and manual assembly processes, development and support of tooling and other manufacturing aids and support to line operations such as implementation of flow, continuous improvement and variation reduction.
- Responsibilities will include process development and problem resolution.
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability, effectiveness analyses for total systems support.
- Functions as the lead in the Quality department
- Responsible for planning and directing quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives
- Responsible for all preparation, tracking, and maintaining of customer/supplier corrective action reports
- Interface with customers on all quality issues
- Maintain logs to ensure that all quality equipment is inspected/calibrated according to manufacturer guidelines
- Implement all manufacturing training programs
- First piece certifications, inclusive of FAIR
- Component/tooling identification
- ESD
- ISO requirements inclusive of AS9100
- QA inspection call outs/requirements problem solving
- Other duties as assigned
Job Skills:
- Four year degree in Engineering related field or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) years prior experience in a managerial role.
- Ability to read and interpret system diagrams, schematics and change proposals.
- Ability to read and understand Military mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Ability to establish and maintain technical dialogue regarding drawings and system diagrams.
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Solid works or similar software.
- Ability to complete certification training and renewals, as required.
- Experience with ISO requirements inclusive of AS9100.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
